Steve Poe began in the home-building industry in the 1980s and transitioned to developing income-producing properties in the late 1990s. Today, Poe Companies is a diversified real estate developer with investors nationwide and a history of success.

Chief Executive Officer

Steve Poe has been in the construction and development business for 36 years and is the Chief Executive Officer of Poe Companies. Poe Companies is an award-winning developer of premium multifamily, industrial and hospitality properties across the United States delivering high barrier to entry developments in growing downtowns and suburban markets.

Poe has developed over 4200 hotel rooms, 1,500 residential units and over 1 million square feet of commercial and office space around the country, with a heavy concentration in Louisville. His local developments include the Louisville Marriott Downtown, the master-planned RiverPark Place, and the Distil Hotel, an Autograph Collection Hotel on Whiskey Row. Poe currently has built-to-suit last-mile logistics center under construction on Durrett Lane by the Louisville Regional Airport.

Steve remains active in both the industry and community. He is a board member of the Impetus, Louisville Ballet, Downtown Development Corporation and OneWest Corporation, a nonprofit created out of the 2014 Bingham Fellows Class that is focused on economic development in west Louisville. Steve led the recruitment of OneWest’s 24-member board comprised of residents, community and business leaders from west Louisville, as well as leaders from many of the city’s largest corporations, financial institutions and philanthropic organizations. He commits a tremendous portion of his time to this endeavor and is committed to making real long-term change in an area that has repeatedly suffered from disinvestment and unmet promises.

Steve has also served as a board member of the Louisville Free Public Library, board member and former President of the Louisville Apartment Association, Chairman of the Home of the Innocents Capital Campaign and as a trustee of Louisville Collegiate School, and the University of Louisville.

Poe Companies has received several awards, including the Kentucky 10th Annual Governor’s Economic Leadership Silver Award in 2005, the Silver Anchor Award from Friends of the Waterfront in 2007, and most recently the March of Dimes Real Estate Achievement Award (REACH) in 2016 in honor of making significant professional and philanthropic achievements.

Tiffany Nolot

Tiffany Nolot

Chief Operating Officer

Tiffany Nolot began her real estate career in 1993 when she joined Poe. Tiffany began in the accounting department, and over time grew into a management role at Poe. Tiffany is also very active in the industry and community; in the past she’s served on the Southern Indiana Home Builders Board of Directors, Board of Directors and past President of CREW.

After attending Sullivan University, Tiffany Nolot began her real estate career in 1993 when she joined Poe.  She began in the accounting department overseeing the books for several residential real estate ventures.  She then began working one-on-one with clients/real estate agents and closing attorneys on sales of residential homes.  Duties included following a sale from the time the contract was signed by a buyer; to overseeing the process of the home being built; to the closing and then the one year warranty period.  These duties also included overseeing the operations of a real estate company with the Broker on behalf of Poe. As a result of these duties she has overseen and sat on the boards of over 10 residential home owners associations and condo regimes. Duties including, but not limited to, keeping financial records, annul maintenance and turnover to the residents once completed.

As the company evolved Tiffany took on more responsibilities and roles including the management of retail commercial space and the main office responsibilities of property management of various apartment complexes owed by Poe.  This role included communicating with the on site managers of the various projects regarding day to day operations and review of annual budgets.  All final decisions of annual budgets and larger repairs would be taken to ownership for approval.

Tiffany is also very active in the industry and community; in the past she’s served on the Southern Indiana Home Builders Board of Directors, Board of Directors and past President of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and company representative of the Louisville Apartment Association.

Hank Hillebrand

Hank Hillebrand

Director of Development

Hank Hillebrand joined Poe Companies in 2018 as the Director of Development. Hank’s day-to-day work ranges across all aspects of the development cycle including financial analysis, capital sourcing, and working with external partners. Working alongside an experienced team and great partners, he strives to help Poe Companies deliver superior projects in multiple cities throughout the United States. Prior to joining Poe Companies, Hank has worked for 5 years in real estate private equity and development across multiple investment product types and markets.

Hank currently serves as a chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Kentucky Young Leaders Group. He is involved as a tutor and volunteer at the West End School in Louisville. Hank is also an active volunteer for OneWest, a nonprofit dedicated to economic development in west Louisville.

Hank is originally from Chicago, IL and moved to Louisville, KY in 2016.

Hank earned a Masters in Business Administration Degree from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business concentrating in finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship. He also holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.

Tina Walters

Tina Walters

Director of Investor Relations

Tina Walters joined Poe Companies in 2017 as the Director of Investor Relations. She has worked over 27 years in the financial services industry and in private philanthropic management. Tina holds a Master of Business Administration from Bellarmine University.

She currently serves on the boards of OneWest and the Center for Neighborhoods and was a member of the 2018 Breeder’s Cup Host Committee. Tina has been recognized for her professional achievements by Today’s Woman magazine as a “Woman Making a Difference” and by Business First as a “40 Under 40.”

Tina works directly with all current and potential investors to ensure an exceptional investor experience.

Community Involvement

The Poe Team is active in both the industry and community. Our engagement in industry associations like the Urban Land Institute and the Louisville Apartment Association keeps us connected to important trends while our leadership within the groups helps strengthen the associations for the long term.

The Company is deeply engaged in the community through charitable giving and board involvement. We donate our time and treasure to a variety of nonprofit organizations in the Louisville Metro area focused on health, education, the arts and economic development.

Steve Poe is the past board chair and current development committee chair of the OneWest Corporation, a nonprofit created out of the 2014 Bingham Fellows Class that is focused on economic development in west Louisville. Steve led the recruitment of a 24-member board comprised of residents, and community and business leaders from west Louisville, as well as leaders from many of the city’s largest corporations, financial institutions and philanthropic organizations. Tina Walters also serves as a board member for the organization. Poe is committed to making real long-term change in this area that has repeatedly suffered from disinvestment and unmet promises.
