Stellar Snacks begins operations at Park Hill facility in Louisville’s West End
Stellar Snacks founders, local and state officials and dozens of new employees celebrated the grand opening of a facility in the Park Hill neighborhood that will create hundreds of jobs and attract millions of dollars worth of investments in years to come on Friday.
Mayor Craig Greenberg and Gov. Andy Beshear attended the ceremony to celebrate the Nevada-based snack company beginning its operations at the 434,000-square-foot bakery facility that will be the target of a $137 million investment over the course of the next 10 years.
The company, which specializes in gourmet vegan pretzels, has hired 50 local employees so far and plans to create a total of 350 full-time jobs in the coming years, Beshear said. The company’s investment is the largest Louisville’s West End has seen in decades, he said.
