Steve Poe’s company is leading one of the biggest and most important projects in Louisville: Transforming the Humana Building into a 1,000-room hotel.
LBF broke the news in December that Poe Cos. was eyeing the former Humana headquarters for that convention-style hotel project. It’s one of several massive developments the company has been involved in. It’s also working with Virginia-based PowerHouse Data Centers on a new 400-megawatt data center campus in South Louisville.
According to his company’s website, Poe began in the homebuilding industry in the 1980s. Today, the company is a developer of premium multifamily, industrial and hospitality properties across the U.S.
Poe is a board member of Impetus for a Better Louisville, a group of prominent and influential Louisvillians.
